Our Guarantee

We guarantee that every student WILL PASS THE COURSE. In order to stand by that guarantee we allow any students wishing to re-take the course, or any portion to do so at no extra charge, based on classroom availability within one year of registration.

One-on-one and tutoring to small groups of 2 to 6 persons is also available if needed for a nominal fee.

Our course is simply the best value that you'll find for the price. Period.

Class Enrollment Cancellation Policy:
Classes conducted are based on enrollments. Therefore, class cancellation by student within ten (10) days prior to start of class, or failure to attend ("no-show") by student is subject to forfeiture of entire fee and no credit will be issued. No exceptions. Refunds may be requested only if scheduled course canceled by the Nautical School.

Online Course(s) Refund Policy: There are no refunds for online courses. No exceptions.

Fees: The OUPV (6-pack) course tuition includes our comprehensive USCG-approved, 240-page color textbook, three full size nautical training charts, PDF downloads of 3 current Coast Pilot books, Chart 1, and the USCG Light List publication. A 4-part USCG-approved examination will be administered by the Nautical School after completing of your 60 hour classroom instruction on Charting & Plotting, Nautical Rules of the Road, Deck General & Navigation General.

There is NO CHARGE for the examination and no testing with the Coast Guard. TNS is a professional school with professional USCG-approved instructors.
