Captain Bill Rivera, Maritime Consultant & Research/Expert Witness
Captain Bill Rivera, is a United States Coast Guard licensed captain with a 200-ton Masters license along with a towing endorsement and near coastal ratings.
He is the co-founder and director of the Nautical School of Maritime Licensing and has successfully taught thousands of mariners. He authored all the books used by the school in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut and is an expert in federal and state boating laws, the CFR's and USCG Navigation Rules which he teaches on a regular basis.
With over 25 years of maritime experience, Captain Bill has served as maritime consultant and expert witness and is comfortable testifying as an expert witness when necessary. He can offer support in both civil and criminal proceedings and has worked in that capacity for both plaintiff and defense. Captain Bill also has expertise in maritime law enforcement procedures and is also a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.
